A LITTLE ABOUT ME

A LITTLE ABOUT ME

DESIGNING LIKE NOBODY'S WATCHING

Hi, Im Ceren, a UX/UI designer based in Berlin with a background in Industrial Design, two years of professional UX/UI experience and a deep love for solving problems that actually make peoples lives easier (and prettier).

My path to design wasnt exactly linear. Before I was pixel-pushing interfaces, I spent ten years performing as a rhythmic gymnast on the Turkish National Team. While the arena has changed, that same precision, discipline, and attention to detail now fuels the way I approach every design challenge, from messy post-its to high-fidelity prototypes.

And when Im not designing?

And when I’m not designing?

HOW I SURVIVED

UX/UI Design Bootcamp at IronHack

I recently completed the UX/UI Design Bootcamp at Ironhack, where I dove into hands-on projects with real stakeholders, like improving safety for women in public transport and reimagining legal tech platforms. Beyond the technical skills, the bootcamp also gave me a renewed passion for learning and solving meaningful problems through design.

UX/UI Designer at Checkout Charlie GmbH

Before that, I was a UX/UI Designer at Checkout Charlie GmbH, part of RTL Deutschland, where I worked on some of Europe’s top consumer portals like Sparwelt.de, Gutscheine.de and Shopmate.eu. My work spanned everything from user research and usability testing to redesigning complex systems into friendly, intuitive experiences. I collaborated closely with developers and stakeholders, always translating business needs into clean, engaging interfaces.

My Industrial Design Background

Before diving into the world of pixels, I studied Industrial Design where I first fell in love with the process of turning ideas into tangible experiences. It taught me to think deeply about how people interact with objects and systems not just how things look, but how they feel, work, and fit into everyday life. I’m always curious about the why behind the design, attentive to details that spark joy or friction, and passionate about creating solutions that are as functional as they are beautiful.

I live by a bit of wisdom I once read in a Steve Jobs biography: even if no one sees the back of the fence, make it just as good looking as the front of the fence. That philosophy sticks with me because great design is as much about the invisible details as the visible ones. So whether I’m crafting onboarding flows or checkout systems, I obsess over every pixel, every transition, and every “What if?” along the way.
